American History at the 8th Grade level is a survey class of our progress from the beginning to the Civil War and Reconstruction. This is a TAKS related class so some important subject matter would be; the origional thirteen colonies, the Declaration of Independence, the American Revolution, the Constitution, the Louisiana Purchase and the Civil War. These of course are only a few of the areas in which the student will be enlightened. Through maps, charts and graphs along with political cartoons the students travel the path that made us the great country we are today.
